HP Ecofficient Paper

The count down is on... only two days left of Winter Break.  I don't know about you but I'll be spending the next two days doing lesson plans, printing activities, and getting things ready for Monday morning.
One of the things I love about blogging is the opportunity to review products that I can use in my classroom.  I have reviewed everything from tablets stands to pencil sharpeners and laminators.  I was recently asked by Shoplet Office Supplies to review EcoEFFICIENT Paper by HP.  Paper is a supply that I use daily in my classroom!  I was more than thrilled to check out the printer paper.

The first thing I noticed about the paper was how light is was.  The paper is 20% lighter than standard paper.  I really couldn't believe the difference between the HP paper and the paper I typically use!

The HP paper was not only lighter, it was also much whiter.  You can see in the picture below the difference in the two types.

(the HP paper is on the right)

The lighter weight allows you to store more paper in your printer/copier for less refilling.  It does mean that the paper is much thinner if you are planning on using it for task cards or other student activities.  I will definitely laminate any products that I make with the paper.
I found that the bright white really made the colors of my product stand out!  The Boise paper that I typically use almost looks yellow compared to the HP paper.  The HP paper is about $3.00 more per carton than the BOISE X-9 paper but you get 625 sheets per ream of the HP compared to 500 sheets of the BOISE per ream.   If you are looking for bright white paper that requires less refilling, then I think you would really like this paper!
You can check it out also with other promotional productsmedical supplies, and office stationary at shoplet.com!
