Currently April

I promised myself that I wouldn't worry about blogging or creating during my vacation but that was until I realized that the first of the month would fall during our trip.  We all know what the first of the month means... a new Currently!  So I'm breaking my promise just this once so I can link up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade.
Listening...
My family is watching a movie in the other room with the volume up way too loud!!  I'm not sure what they're watching but it must be funny.
Loving...
that I've been wearing shorts since Friday.  I'm not sure what the weather has been in Indiana but I know I wore my winter coat to school the Thursday before break.  It amazes me that people have this beautiful weather most of the year.  Jealous!!
Thinking...
this week is going by way too fast.  Sometimes I love a stay-cation because the week seems to  go  a little slower.  We are packing as much as we can into our Orlando vacation, so we haven't had a moments rest.
Wanting...
to learn how to make great clipart.  I've drawn some clipart on my iPad and it's cute but doesn't look like the pros.  Anyone out there have any advice?  Do most draw and scan their clipart?  I would love to know the best way!!
Needing...
to start running again.  I always take a running holiday during the winter months.  I got my new running shoes last week so now I need to justify the purchase and get going (especially after all the eating that I have done on vacation!).
Advice...
The best advice that I could give to someone who is thinking about blogging or creating products is to jump right in and get going.  I wish I would have known about this "world" long before I did.  Blogging has made me such a better teacher and I'm so glad I took that first step!!

Have a great rest of the week and I'll let you know all about my vacation when I return!!

  1. Your post reminds me that I really really need to get off the couch and start running. I'm running the Disneyland Marathon 10k in September and if I want to improve my slow time of 1:24 to 1 hour, then I really need to train.

    I'm a new follower too! :)

  6. Hello! I'm brand new to blogging and your title caught my eye! I love it!

I took your advice and "got going" yesterday even though everything isn't "perfect" yet... I love it already!

Can you please please tell me how to get involved with these "currently" things - they look like fun but I have no idea what to do to get it on my blog!

    Thank you!

  7. We were enjoying GREAT weather in Mississippi until today... it decided to turn cold and rainy again. NOT fun!

I'm hoping blogging will make me a better teacher! I'm still in school and set to graduate in December - but I love this community already and am so inspired by all the great teachers out there! I'm hoping it will be a good tool and resource during my student teaching next semester.

  8. Good luck with your running. I hope you really enjoyed your time in Orlando. Please bring some warm, sunny weather north with you! I too take the winter months off from running. Yesterday was my first day back, and it sure was hard.
